Mom and Dad brought cabinets down to some of my relatives in San Diego so they brought Lila back with them! We were so glad to see her, it has been way too long since we have seen her! The girls were a little shy at first but then hugged and they were off!
First they went to Grandma and Grandpa's where they played and played!
A rare summer rain calls for an umbrella!
They slept in a tent in the living room!
Swimming cousins
Cute girl!
So then they came to our house for a few days where they did more playing!
Sprinkler fun!
Not sure what to think of 2 silly girls!
Cutie
Trying to get a good picture of the both of them is near impossible!
Then we went camping at a really sissy campground that had a pool and playground! HA!
Looking at maps with Grandpa
Ready for the pool!
We went to the nearby Subway cave which is really cool!
It is pitch black in there. You have to use flashlights, we turned them off but the girls weren't to excited about that!
Some sweet memories were made. Riding in the jeep down to the creek, both girls sitting in the back singing songs. Holding hands walking around. A lot of sorta friendly competition! A lot of "no me first!" One day I heard Lila say, "I never forgot about you Camilla, I thought about you every day!" So cute, we wish we lived closer but guess that is life. Hopefully this can become a summer tradition! By next summer there will be another girl cousin to play with! :)
I have really been slacking on my blogging duties! The big event in our life was Camilla graduating from Kindergarten. This year has flew by!! It seems like last month we were taking her in for her first day of school! She has grown up so much literally and emotionally! I'm so glad for her teacher and her patience with her! I feel like because she wasn't in any kind of daycare or preschool that in a way she was a little behind. But she learned quick and passed Kindergarten! :)
It has been fun seeing all the new plants come up in our yard. Since this is our first spring here, it's fun to see what we have! We still have a lot of work to do on the yard, but the husband just doesn't have the time.. We need to roto till the front yard and put in a sprinkler system, bring in some better dirt. Wish we could do it before summer hits but I doubt it. Here is some of what we have.
I don't know what these are, they popped up on their own.
I don't know what these are either, they were here when we moved in.
This is a verbena that is supposed to be an annual, but it made it through the winter and will be beautiful all summer!
Hydrangea, anxious to see what color they are!
I don't know what these are either, but they are so cute!
The leaves look like clover.
Rose
This is a huge really old rosebush. It is wild and has grape vines mixed in. There are hundreds of buds waiting to bloom!
Rose of Sharon, not sure what variety and color. But it will have a lot of pretty flowers in the next few weeks.
We have grape vines all over our side fence and part of the front.
We planted these potato vines to grow on the front fence.
So one day we will get the yard taken care of but for now I'm enjoying what we have!
