My pretty girl

Christmas tree!

Since we now have a truck that we could all fit in we decided to go and cut our own tree. Not very far from us is beautiful country with snow and pretty trees, so we made a little trip! Camilla didn't really like the snow cause it was hard to walk in, so we mostly hung out at the truck while Ian and his Mom hiked around looking for trees!

Halloween

Camilla was a cowgirl for Halloween this year. She was not wanting to get her picture taken. Plus she wasn't very excited about her costume. She probably would've been more excited about a princess one or something but I just can NOT get into the whole princess thing. I don't want a princess, I want a down to earth cowgirl! Some of the friends here have a carehome so went and visited them. Her little bucket was almost full! The old folks really enjoyed the kids and Camilla figured out right quick that she could have the candy. So the people would give her a piece and she would take one from them too! Ha. Anyway she still is a little young to understand it all but its all for the fun. That's what I appreciate about the holidays is just the fun in it all. Its fun to dress up and see other peoples costumes. Its fun to decorate for Christmas. Why can't people just relax about the holidays and have fun with it? Instead of worrying about what it all might mean. Oh barf....... Anyway was a happy Halloween and now onto Thanksgiving!! Woohooo I love this time of year..

Pumpkin Patch

Fall is here, I don't think there is anyone else in this world who is more ready for it. Summer seemed to last a really long time.. So the weather is cooler, the leaves are turning and blowing outside. I LOVE it!! So nice to be able to play outside with Camilla again!!
We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend with Grandma. Camilla had the most fun at the petting zoo, she gets her love of animals from me! (It was my favorite part too) =D Then we found her a baby pumpkin that we will carve soon! I bought her a little cowgirl costume for Halloween, I really want to find some cute white cowboy boots for her. So will have to look this week. Not sure yet what we are doing for Halloween yet. I'm not real big on taking her to neigborhoods because she really doesn't need that much candy. Maybe go to the mall again that seems to work good, or some people here own a care home and they do a halloween party. They get their residents and give them all candy and they hand it out to the kids! Cute!!
The pig wanted to taste her boots! She thought it was pretty funny!!

Cute baby cows, they looked like twins

LOVE LOVE the baby pygmy goats!! I just want to hold them and snuggle!! =)

hummm

Tonight I happened to look on myspace. (Something I don't do much anymore) I went to the Trinity High page, where I can look at other people who graduated from my same school. Went to this guys page who went to school with my brother and there on his page is a video I have on MY profile of Camilla first learning how to walk! WHAT?? How did that get there? So I send him a message say Why in the SAM HILL do you have a video of my baby girl learning how to walk?? So... I keep looking and a bunch of peoples pages are showing up with that same video..... So now I'm all sorts of confused and freaked and realize that it is weird to have WHO knows looking at videos of my little baby precious girl learning how to walk. SO WHAT IS GOING ON????????
In a way, it is so sad how much we have to protect our children because of all the freaks out there. We can't turn our backs on them in the grocery store because of the unknown pedophile lurking about... It terrifies me and ANGERS me that we have to live like this these days... HOW do people get turned into these monsters and what as a society can we do about it? I just watched that video over and over again and can see the innocence in her and think I have such a HUGE responsibility to watch over her and make sure she's safe...
So the moral of the story is... I don't know.. How do we keep our children safe? How do we not go over board? How do we keep creeps away from them? How do we keep from not completely stressing out about the unknown of what COULD happen to our children?
We live in different times.. There is a delicate balance between being over careful and not careful enough. We don't want to over exaggerate things, and defantly (sp) don't want to UNDER exaggerate things.
It is heart breaking to see how innocent and naive a child can be. To think that someone could grab her and she wouldn't really know better. Wouldn't know to fight back. That TERRIFIES me. But its not something that you want to teach your child.
Ok, this is enough, can't freak out any more......
Hug and love your children today.. I'm ready to go sleep with her tonight! =)

We went to a concert in Jacksonville, OR a few weeks ago. Had a great time, was really nice to spend some time with just the two of us. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching Camilla! Hard to believe next month we will be married for four years!

Sad day..

The lumber mill in my home town burned down on Saturday. I happened to be in town that day and took some pictures. I feel for the 130 people who worked there. As of today still no word as to what will happen with the mill. When theres 4000 people or so in the town and 130 people work there its a big deal. A hard hit for so many people already struggling because of the economy. Hopefully they rebuild ASAP to get those peoples jobs back.

So cute!

She sat long enough for me to braid her hair! It was so cute, but she took it out when I wasn't looking! Her hair is getting so long, I have fun fixing it when she lets me! =)

my lovely child

If you feel the need to watch a crying kid throw a fit than watch this video. I just like to look at her pouty lip in the beginning! And yes you can hear me laughing at her, what a mean mom!!

Matching braces

Mom had neck surgery a while ago and Camilla wanted to try on her brace. Its been hard for Mom because she can't do as much with the girls as she would like too. Can't pick them up and just has to be a little more careful. But she is recovering really good, so hopefully it will be all worth it in the end!

4th of July

We went to my hometown for the 4th of July weekend. They do a traditional parade, destruction derby, fireworks, pancake breakfast and many more!! I love to see the parade, just seeing everyone from young and old getting together to watch the parade. Every year there is new entries and every year there is the same old entries. Its nice to go to Weaverville and just appreciate the quietness and the "slower way of life".

Getting ready for the parade

Waiting for the fireworks, both girls weren't too impressed with the fireworks!

Ian

Got a new job! It is so exciting! He has been working for his brother since before we got married and to say the least it has been hard. I won't go into detail but lets just say its really hard to work for family. So he now has a full time M-F job where he gets paid every week. A nice change for us! He is really excited, his boss seems really nice and seems to care about his employees (another nice change) and most of all we don't have to deal with the stress/problems of working with family!! =D
So today was his first day, he is taking care of the landscape of homes in foreclosure and cleaning up a little inside sometimes. His boss has a lot of work so he will hopefully keep Ian busy for a long time. This job means no school for now, but maybe in the long run it will be better to wait a while for the economy to pick up. So we are very happy and feel a big weight off of our shoulders. So glad to have a husband willing to work and to do whatever it takes to take care of his family. Thank you!
