Christmas 2008

Every year we try to switch off between families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so this year we had Christmas Eve and part of the day at Ians parents than spent the few days with Mom, Dad,Landry,Cara and Lila. We had a good time, and of course got great presents!

Camilla with her new tricycle from Gma and Gpa.

The girls and their matching aprons from Grandma. Camilla loved hers and wouldn't take it off, she cried when we took it off to go to bed!!

I made some lemon pull apart bread, and well I think I put too many rolls in the pan!

The day after Christmas we went to U. Franks and had a Grow family dinner. We played baseball and shot clay pigions. I shot 4 in a row!! Wow, I havn't shot for so long but it was so fun. I love shooting guns.. Once a redneck always a redneck! =) Just some normal Grow fun!!

Playing games, Ryan won Monopoly and some others playing spoons!

Cousin hugs! The girls had so much fun playing together, I'm glad they are so close in age!

Hope you all have a

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! We are as usual juggling between all our family that lives close by!! Everyone drive safe and have a great time with your family. I was just thinking about our soldiers in Iraq and other countries who are away from their family. In a terrible place with terrible people and don't get to have christmas with their family. Sad..

hummm

I have just felt so frusterated and stressed this week. I don't really know why.. Camilla seems to sense it or something and so she is behaving really bad. Sometimes I just do not know what to do with her. It doesn't matter what I do, she still is really bad. I have a really hard time with her misbehaving,I guess because I really want to not raise a brat. I do not want to spoil her, but sometimes I just don't know what else to do. I feel so bad because I end up getting mad at her, but part of it is just because I don't know what else to do. She just doesn't seem to listen to me. I feel like such a bad mother because I yell at her sometimes and I just get so frusterated that I pretty much give up and just start to ignore it or have to leave the room. AAAHAHAAHAHAAHHAHAH I had no idea it would be so hard to raise my own child.

Needs

My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas today.. So of course because I am a mother and a woman I had to think about this for a while... I wish I could just say Oh I need this or I want this...... But in this world today, I just feel like there is so much more that is needed, than something trivial that I would want or need.
I want my daughter to know truth, to know the love, joy and peace that comes with being in the truth. I want her to have a true love for God, his son, and all of his people. I want her to have confidence in her parents, to know that her family will love her through thick and thin, like my own parents loved me. I want my husband to know that there is one true way and that is truth and that is what my family and I believe in... I want him to feel a need for something more in his life, to want to make his life available to God. I want to be a help to others, I want to be a loving sister to my breatheren. I want to just feel like I am doing the best I can.
This seems like so much.. But just thiking about Christmas makes me think about the things that we really do need, things that will profit us. In the end this is what we will think about, not how we would like new shoes or fun toys for our kids!=0

Random

I found this strange tomatoe the other day at Raleys.
I made these cookies using a frosting called royal icing. It looks cool, but I think these kind of cookies are just made to look at and not eat. They don't taste very good.

Eagles

These eagles have been building this nest in the same spot for a while now. Caltrans tried to keep them from rebuilding again last year because there was construction going on and they were afraid of hurting the birds or somethings. So they put a big cone on the nest but the birds started building a new nest just a little ways down. Anyway people put up a huge fuss and so caltrans took it down and the eagles built their nest and had their babies. So after the eagles left last year they put in a web cam. So its pretty cool, I just saw the eagle for the first time today! It will be so cute to see new born bald eagles! Anyway have a look

Thanksgiving!

We went to Oak Bar for Thanksgiving! Oak Bar is a old fishing lodge that friends of ours own up by Yreka,CA. It is on the Klamath River, Mark and Sherry Crawford own it. It is a beautiful old lodge, with lots of room and beautiful property. They have 4 kids who also have lots of kids, so needless to say there were a lot of people! We had 47 for Thanksgiving dinner!! There were lots of kids for Camilla to play with and lots of great people to spend time with. We had such a AWESOME time and I'm so glad we went. We ate way too much food, played lots of music and talked and talked and talked! It was great! I love leaving a place having more love for people than you had when you first got there!
I didn't realize the pics would come up in the opposite order, so the captions are backwards, but I'm sure you all could figure it out! =)
This was the dining room where we had our meals. The big table in the top right of the picture is SO awesome! The center part of the table spins around. So if you need something say mashed potatos or ham you just spin the top layer around and there you go! It is pretty nice for a big group of people. The "turkey" centerpiece was made from vegetables! It was So cute. Then all the delicious rolls and the way too many pies!!

Ian sitting on the huge couch in the lodge.

The men working on the screen doors that Dad made. Behind the screen doors is a entry way between the dining room and the main lodge room. Some bats like to hide in there so they were wanting screen doors to try and keep them out. One time when we were up there a long time ago, we had a bat killing party. (How redneck is that?!) Anyway we had bats and brooms and whatever you wanted to kill the bats. It was fun but pretty gross, I was afraid they were going to get in my hair.

Clarabella and Camilla with Grandma.

It was Katreece's Birthday, she wanted a Caterpiller cake so her Mom Angela made a very cute cake for her! (sorry about all the spellings of the kids names)

Pictures of the beautiful lawn and river. See the fairy rings?!

Guess who's daughter was crying? I love how the first picture they are all smiling and then the next one they are all looking at her like whats your problem?!! =) Their names are from top left. Again sorry about the spellings. Dinah,Auralee,Tara, Treeva, Ciecel,Adelin, Jolene,Katreece and Camilla.

Jeanie and Clarabella and some cute pictures of some of the kids on the 6-wheelers.

At the Park

Today we went to the park with Grandma.. It is a great park, with swings and a wood castle kind of thing. And lots of fun things to play on. Camilla loves the swings and just can sit and swing, especially the "big girl swing". But she's not a huge fan of the slides. I think because she doesn't hold herself up so she slides down a little on her elbows. I think it might hurt her a little.
The other day I was in the store and she was sitting in the cart and I looked at her and just thought she is SO cute! I just want to hold her and keep her and be there for her at all times. I am just amazed at what I feel for her. Everyday she does things that I'm just like wow she is getting so big and grown up! I am so thankful for her and can not believe how much I can love such a little human!
