Lake trip

Keaton had been to the lake once before but I didn't take any pictures, bad mom! So this time I got some pictures of him.  It turned out a not so good trip as the wind picked up and was blowing so hard! We finally just left, it wasn't fun at all. Anyway here is his lake pictures!

His hat is a little big!! :)

Costco experiences

Costco and I don't have a very good relationship.  For one reason you just can't ever get out of there without spending $100!  Just seems like it never happens.  But my #2 reason is because of the type of people there.  For some reason at my Costco and maybe all Costco's there is a lot of old people. Now I know this sounds bad and I know many old people that are sweet and fun to be with.  But I've had quite a few experiences with old people there that have not been good.  I just had one last week that made me very angry and it isn't the first time it's happened at Costco! I'm walking in the parking lot holding Keaton in his car seat and I'm on the left side of the parking lot holding keatons car seat in my left hand. I'm walking behind this truck and am half way across his tail gate when here comes the reverse lights and off he goes. He bumped into us!  I look up and he isn't turning his head to look behind him but somehow he figures out that there is someone behind him.  So I yell at him to watch where he's going and grandma and grandpa are sitting there totally oblivious to life going on around them. They finally see me and the woman has the audacity to give me a dirty look like I'm the one in the wrong! I wanted to go over there and yell at them that he needs to give up driving! Especially a big huge truck like he was driving! This has happened so many times to me in that parking lot and when you have little kids it's the worst! Turn around and look or quit driving.. I know that it's not easy to give up driving privileges.  But when you are putting others around you in danger because you can't turn your head or your reflexes are too slow etc. Then it is time to give it up.
My first really bad experience was with this old man who started screaming at me and calling me names because I left the cart in the parking lot.  At my Costco there are hardly any of the cart corral things and I'm not going to leave my kids in the car while I walk halfway down the aisle to find a cart thing! I always make sure it's not going to hit anyone else or that it's not rolling away.. But he called me really mean names! All because I didn't put a cart away! Really? I feel sorry for his family, what a terrible attitude to have to a complete stranger.
My next experience was only a few days before the getting backed into experience.  We were at the food court and I had Keaton in his car seat at the top of the cart.  It has a little hook thing on his seat that does hook onto the cart but it isn't perfectly fall proof.  Anyway, I park the cart and go get Camilla something and come back and this old lady is in a motorized cart and is heading right for the cart. So I grab the cart and she says rudely "I'm not going to hit him!" Yeah right, so anyway I sit down and she decides to move closer and what do you know. She smashes into the cart and of course it wakes him up, he throws his little hands up and starts crying.  She doesn't say she's sorry or anything just looks at me and then says, "Oh he's awake! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Those motorized carts are scary, they do not have control over them.
So that is the end of my bad experiences, I'm sorry if this comes off as really rude. But I'm so glad for the older people I know who have a good attitude and know when it's time to give up their license.  I can only hope when my time comes that I'll remember this post.
Moral of the story here: Going to Costco is not only dangerous to my children and my health but also to our bank account! Do I really need 15 pounds of hamburger and 147 rolls of toilet paper anyway? :)
