Pumpkin Patch
Fall is here, I don't think there is anyone else in this world who is more ready for it. Summer seemed to last a really long time.. So the weather is cooler, the leaves are turning and blowing outside. I LOVE it!! So nice to be able to play outside with Camilla again!!
We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend with Grandma. Camilla had the most fun at the petting zoo, she gets her love of animals from me! (It was my favorite part too) =D Then we found her a baby pumpkin that we will carve soon! I bought her a little cowgirl costume for Halloween, I really want to find some cute white cowboy boots for her. So will have to look this week. Not sure yet what we are doing for Halloween yet. I'm not real big on taking her to neigborhoods because she really doesn't need that much candy. Maybe go to the mall again that seems to work good, or some people here own a care home and they do a halloween party. They get their residents and give them all candy and they hand it out to the kids! Cute!!
The pig wanted to taste her boots! She thought it was pretty funny!!
Cute baby cows, they looked like twins
LOVE LOVE the baby pygmy goats!! I just want to hold them and snuggle!! =)

hummm
Tonight I happened to look on myspace. (Something I don't do much anymore) I went to the Trinity High page, where I can look at other people who graduated from my same school. Went to this guys page who went to school with my brother and there on his page is a video I have on MY profile of Camilla first learning how to walk! WHAT?? How did that get there? So I send him a message say Why in the SAM HILL do you have a video of my baby girl learning how to walk?? So... I keep looking and a bunch of peoples pages are showing up with that same video..... So now I'm all sorts of confused and freaked and realize that it is weird to have WHO knows looking at videos of my little baby precious girl learning how to walk. SO WHAT IS GOING ON????????
In a way, it is so sad how much we have to protect our children because of all the freaks out there. We can't turn our backs on them in the grocery store because of the unknown pedophile lurking about... It terrifies me and ANGERS me that we have to live like this these days... HOW do people get turned into these monsters and what as a society can we do about it? I just watched that video over and over again and can see the innocence in her and think I have such a HUGE responsibility to watch over her and make sure she's safe...
So the moral of the story is... I don't know.. How do we keep our children safe? How do we not go over board? How do we keep creeps away from them? How do we keep from not completely stressing out about the unknown of what COULD happen to our children?
We live in different times.. There is a delicate balance between being over careful and not careful enough. We don't want to over exaggerate things, and defantly (sp) don't want to UNDER exaggerate things.
It is heart breaking to see how innocent and naive a child can be. To think that someone could grab her and she wouldn't really know better. Wouldn't know to fight back. That TERRIFIES me. But its not something that you want to teach your child.
Ok, this is enough, can't freak out any more......
Hug and love your children today.. I'm ready to go sleep with her tonight! =)
