For those of you who don't already know and would like to know. My Great Grandma Crawford is in her last days. We were with her Sunday and and yesterday. She has pneumonia and her lungs are full of fluid. She hasn't ate or drank for almost 3 days now. She doesn't respond much to anyone partly because she is on morphine and a anti anxiety medicine.
I was by myself with her yesterday for a little while and I was standing there looking at her. It was like all these memories flashed back, memories of her life and our life with her. She was so vivacious and energetic. Not one to sit around or take a nap. She had a very rough life, from when she was little and so so poor. To when she was married and had a hard time with that, and still dirt poor. As a lot of our great grandparents were. But she had a faith in God and a soft heart and she was willing for his work in her life no matter the situation of her own life.
The other sad part of our family, my Grandma Grow's sister Zerelda is in the hospital and having surgery today. They found a mass on her pancreas and are leaning towards cancer. The tumor is pushing on the bile duct of her liver so she was turning yellow. So today they were going to put a stint in the bile duct so hopefully her liver can start functioning better, and they are going to do a biopsy of the mass to determine exactly what it is. So my poor Grandma, not only is her Mom dieing her sister also could have cancer. So we are all struggling here. A year ago on the 19Th my Grandpa died, and our Aunt Mildred died a few weeks before Grandpa died. So its a hard time of year. Anyway I'm sure most of you have already heard this news but just in case you haven't here's all our good news.
