1 week!

Already a week old? My baby is growing up too fast! :)

We are doing good, we came home on Saturday. He is eating well and sleeping a lot of course! So glad to have my Mom here to help me. I seem to be in more pain this time around, so can't do too much walking. But, getting better everyday, nights are the worse trying to sit up in bed. It feels like I don't have any stomach muscles and then I'm really sore so that makes tough nights. Anyway we are so happy to finally have him home and to be a family of 4! Camilla is adjusting well, I'm trying to have some one on one time with her through out the day and Ian is really good with her since he can't do a lot for the baby right now. So she is enjoying baby brother and seems to love him!

He was born at 7:54 am weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and 20 inches long! Surgery went great and we are both doing good! So far he has been really good, not a lot of crying and just seems pretty content most of the time!

Baby time

I can't believe that it is already time for the baby to come! This pregnancy has really just flown by. I remember feeling like it was going to take forever for march to come and now here we are! I should be in bed as I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM! But of course have so much I feel like I need to do and probably would just lay in bed awake anyway! At this point I don't feel really nervous or scared, just so ready and SO excited to meet him! Almost as much as I'm excited to see the baby I'm really excited to see Camilla's reaction and how she is going to look seeing her baby brother for the first time! She seems so excited and has never said a bad word about the baby coming. She just really seems like she is going to enjoy having him around, although I know that it won't always be that way! :)
It's hard for me to imagine that I'm going to have 2 children and what a difference it is going to make even in every day things. I think that's the thing I'm most nervous about is once my Mom is gone and Ian is back at work and I'm by myself with these 2 kids! I'm sure it will get easier with experience but right now it sounds a little terrifying! :) I can handle a Csection but taking two kids to the store?
Anyway feeling so excited and so ready. It's hard to believe that this has been an almost 4 year process of me wondering if it was ever going to even be possible to be going through all this again. Now here I am 10 hours away from having another sweet baby. I feel so lucky and think of all the women out there still fighting the fertility battle.
We will be putting pictures up as soon as we can get settled!

Creative genes

While I certainly wasn't given the creative gene, my sister is turning into a regular Martha Stewart! She has been making all sorts of great things for the new baby and Camilla! It's hard not having her around right now and not knowing when she will get to meet the new one. But I know she thinks of us all the time and we love our packages from her! Especially Camilla, she seems to just accept the way things are with Auntie Kara not being around much. She doesn't really ask questions, I guess it's just been this way her whole life so that's the way it is! I need to have more of that kind of attitude. I sometimes wish I didn't have to share my sister so much. Anyway here are her cute projects!

While I would love to give her ALL the credit, she didn't make the onsies, but did do the ties. And she didn't make the pants and shirt, I know she wouldn't want to take the credit for all of it! But still, it's all so cute and amazing! :)

So glad

To get all this insurance nonsense over with! Finally am getting my insurance all figured out and the babies insurance figured out too. Never seen a industry where everyone has a different story every time you call. Even the letters they send you, when you call and ask about them you get a different story from what even the letter says!! Amazing, anyway so glad to have insurance for both of us and get some major help with all the Dr. and hospital bills! Would rather not be paying on this baby for the next 10 years! :)

Feeling pretty ready, I have a dresser, a place for him to sleep, carseat, swing, bouncy seat, high chair, diapers, clothes and of course super cute clothes! Everyday Camilla looks at the calender and counts down the days till baby is born. It's funny because even here at home Ian and I never call him by his name. It's just baby and that's what Camilla calls him too. We are keeping the name a little secret, but obviously not too much since we told Camilla! If you ask her the name she will tell you! Plus my MIL put it on facebook, but oh well not a big deal to me.

A mermaid and Dora

Camilla decided to dress up in her mermaid costume a few days ago and also decided that the dog needed to wear a dora dress! The dog looked absolutely thrilled...
