Smokey

There are 10 fires going on around us! It is so smokey and ash is falling. Its pretty crazy, its actually making me nervous. Even though I live right in the middle of town. But at least its not really windy. But it is hot 95+ during the day. blahh poor firefighters.

Fire Season

Well our fire season is definatly here. We are completely smoked in. We really have fires all around us. Lots of thick smoke, you can smell it and see it. I can't remember really ever seeing smoke like this here. We had crazy lightening and thunder storms on Saturday. So now we have lots of fires. In Trinity County alone, (Where I grew up, a hour from me now) there were 3000 lightening strikes recorded on Saturday. So its kinda scary. Poor people being evacuated. I remember growing up we were evacuated once. The fire chief came running up our steps, and our dog bear almost bit him. It was SO scary and just the unknown was hard. So hopefully the winds will die down and GOOD LUCK to the fire fighters. I am impressed and thankful for your willingness to fight fires..

Darn paparazzi

This just cracks me up because it reminds me of some pictures I've seen of celebrities not wanting to get their picture taken and so they put their hand or something in front of the camera! This is my brothers daughter Lila, if you can't tell!

A little rant.

Ok, so why would a company make a sippy cup that every time it gets dropped or bumped leak? I bought new cups for Camilla cause her other ones were getting to small. So yeah now she has learned oh if I hit it on my leg than it spills out and then I can rub it everywhere. Ohh lets try it on the couch too, that looks fun. So dumb. So anyway I could probably take them back to Target. I don't have any of the packaging though. But oh well. It seems like the companies would test the products that they make before selling them. So either they test them and say oh well they leak but people don't know that till after they buy the product! HAHA Or they just don't test the product at all. Well anyway not huge deal, but just a little annoying.

Fathers Day Weekend

Landry,Cara and Lila came up for Fathers Day this past weekend! So we spent Saturday at Mom and Dads. I havn't seen Lila since February so she had changed SO much!! She is so cute and is starting to crawl! Camilla didn't seem to pay much attention to her, but she did bring her a toy every once in a while!

Weekend fun

We went to a friends cabin this past weekend. It is on the Trinity River, she has a beautiful cabin. Plus her cabinets are amazing! (My Dad built them!) =) Anyway Ian took Camilla to the river and I was still at the cabin. He said she was just standing there by him and all a sudden she took off running. Tripped over a rock and fell face first into the river. Which by the way is freezing cold, it wasn't very strong where she fell in as they were standing on a beach area. But still Ian got quite scared threw his fishing pole with the line in the water and grabbed her. He said she didn't cry but when she got her breath actually just laughed a little! Crazy girl, I'm glad I wasn't there. Anyway from then on she didn't want to go down by the river. Only if we were right there with her and holding on to her. Which I was doing anyway! So from there we went to my parents and stayed Sat night and had a good time. But heres some river pics.

Camping!!

Kara, some cousins and Ian,Camilla and I went camping last week. We went to a place we had never been before even though it was only a hour from here! It was beautiful, up by Lassen Park. Camilla had a blast, playing in the dirt and the creek. It was pretty cold at night and in the mornings but during the day it was ok. Except for when it rained for about 20 minutes and we were stuck in the tent after running around trying to save everything from getting soaked!! And then Camilla barfed ALL over me. That was fun. But we went fishing and went through some lava caves. It was nice and relaxing. I want to try and camp more this summer. I remember as a kid I LOVED to camp and always felt like we never did it very much, so I'll try to take Camilla more often! Here's some pics. At the campground the only way to get water was by this huge old fashioned hand pump! It was hilarious! Camilla though it was pretty cool too.
